One of the most awaited festival in Bicol is Bicol Festival of Festival Showdown where contingents from Bicol Region participate in a showdown. Abaca Festival in Catanduanes, the province simply used for the 3rd straight as they recognized as the biggest abaca producing province in the country. Magayon Festival is a month-long celebration happening every month of May in Albay Province. This festival is meant to honor Mayon Volcano’s beauty, with Magayon meaning “always beautiful to look at".

The Bicolano culture is primarily noted for the prominent use of chili peppers and coconut milk in its food.
